Registration is now open for the Disney Memorial Day Soccer Shootout presented by Danimals® at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World® Resort.

Team Entry Fee:
  • U9-U10: $500**
  • U11-U12: $600**
  • U13-U18/19: $800**


Team Registration Includes:
  • Professionally maintained fields
  • Minimum 3-game guarantee in a round robin format
  • Certified referees
  • Presence of athletic trainers, provided by South Lake Hospital, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
  • Ice water at each field
  • Game ball provided to each team
  • Awards presented to 1st-4th place teams for Groups of 7 or more teams, 1st & 2nd for groups of 6 or fewer teams

Application & Refund Process
Upon acceptance into the tournament, your team entry fee must be paid in full immediately to guarantee your spot. Entry fees are non-refundable. In the event your team must withdraw from the tournament, you must notify the tournament director in writing at least 30 days prior to the tournament date and you will be allowed to transfer your entry fee to a future event.

*Events may be subject to availability, capacity limits, elgibility requirements, and may be subject to delay, change, or cancellation for inclement weather. Application deadline subject to change due to volume of applications and event capacity. In the event that an Age Division Bracket does not attain an adequate number of registered teams, the Tournament Director shall notify those registered teams as soon as possible. The teams will be given the option of playing up or receiving a full refund

**All teams are required to stay in one of the official tournament hotels and use one of Disney's approved travel providers to compete at the event. See details under the Travel Packages and Rules tabs. .

International Team Registration

Registration is now open for International Teams for the Memorial Day Soccer Shootout, Presented by Danimals at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World® Resort.  

Requirements

International Teams - Requirements

  • All international teams must stay at the Walt Disney World® Resort and purchase a registration package for each athlete, coach and spectator on the team with a Disney Sport representative.
  • All teams must be confirmed and fully paid no later than 45 days prior to the event
  • Each team is limited to a maximum 18 athletes for 11v11, 14 athletes for 8v8 and 12 athletes for 6v6
  • Travel partners must are responsible for the entire groups registration, documentation and necessary invoices for payment.
  • The travel partner will be responsible to secure from Disney and provide teams with package components to include: theme park tickets, length of event tickets for spectators to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and wristbands for transportation.

Booking Processs
  • Step 1: Contact the Disney Sports international group sales department, Leonardo Leite (Leonardo.Leite@disney.com) – phone 407 938-3567 to be qualified into the tournament with the information for how many rooms and nights will be needed for the participants.
  • Step 2: After receiving your tournament contract, sign and return by fax (407 938-3479) with the payment for the first night of your room block to assure participation. A Disney Sports representative will work with your team contact and travel partner to complete the "on-line" tournament application process.
  • Step 3: Submit paperwork to participate of the tournament: Room List, waiver, medical form, and copy of passport, proof of health insurance Player cards (online) and representation letter to ensure participation.
  • Step 4: All payments are due 45 days prior the group's (team's) arrival. Payments can be made via wire transfer, credit card or approved company check. Late payments are subject to extra fees.

Important Dates

TEAM REGISTRATION DEADLINES
  • All international teams must be fully registered 45 days prior to the event..

TEAM VISA ASSISTANCE
  • Only teams that have a signed contract with deposit are eligible to receive Visas assistance. Dead line for visas assistance 60 days prior to arrival.

TEAM CONTRACT DEPOSIT
  • The group or team have 1 month from the date the contract was sent out to return the contract signed with the group deposit payment.

TEAM FULL PAYMENT
  • Full payment must be received before 45 days prior toarrival. Teams that finalize all payments after 45 days prior to arrival will be subjected to late fees, forfeit of deposit, and other penalties that could include cancellation from the tournament.

TEAM ROOM LIST
  • Need to be sent 45 days prior to arrival using the excel spreadsheet sent by Disney.

TEAM DOCUMENTATION
  • Need to be sent By June 15th, 2014
  • Copy of passport
  • Medical form and waiver signed
  • Proof of insurance
  • Letter from the school or soccer club that the team represents
  • Fill in the roster with player profiles online (www.gotsoccer.com)

Participating Teams

2014 DANONE Nations Cup Qualifier

The DANONE Nations Cup 2014 Qualifier - will be held for the 5th consecutive year at ESPN Wide World of Sports as part of the Disney Memorial Day Soccer Shootout presented by Danimals®. The event will take place May 24 - 26, 2014.

 As in the past the winner of this event will receive an all expense trip for 12 athletes and 2 coaches to compete against teams from 40 other countries. This year’s DANONE  Nations Cup World Championships will take place in Brazil after the World Cup – location, date and time to be determined.

Important reminders for this year’s event please read as there have been changes from the last year’s event:
Danone Nations Cup is an event to celebrate the team and therefore is limited to existing teams or club all-star teams*
All players must be born in 2002 or 2003 no exceptions
Maximum Roster size – 12 players
Club All-Star or existing teams only
No Guest Players – No exceptions
No multi-club all-star teams
Roster to be frozen on April 15, 2014** (change from 2013)
Games at ESPN will be 8v8 (9v9 at the World Championships)
Depending on the number of teams who register teams may be required to play Friday night May 23rd.

*Due to the age group being split by using the January 1st cutoff date we understand that some teams will be a mixture of the two age groups from one club that have children born in 2002 and 2003. All players must be registered to the same club.

**Any changes to the roster after the roster freeze date must be approved by the tournament committee and in no case will a player be allowed to participate for a team who was not registered to the club prior to the April 15th date.

To register to participate in the Danone’s Nation Cup follow these instructions:
Register team as “Male” “U11” or “Male” “U12” then in the drop down box titled “Level” select “Danone 02/03 (8v8) ($600.00)”. This will place you in the Danone Nations Cup group.

Checklist

Please follow the below checklist to complete your registration and prepare to compete!

Book room accommodations with Disney's designated travel provider, Anthony Travel, by calling 800-736-6377 or visiting anthonytravel.com.

Due Date: 21 days prior to the event

If you do not complete your room reservations by this date your team will not be scheduled and will be cancelled from the tournament.

Waivers

You are required to submit signed Disney Sports Waivers for each team member and coach that will be listed on your official team roster.

Access your Disney Sports Waiver form by visiting the Required Documents Section.

Please Note: Our waiver collection process has changed from previous years. You are no longer required to mail or fax waivers prior to an event. Please bring signed waivers with you to On-site Tournament Registration.

Online Roster

MANDATORY: All teams must enter their rosters complete with bench personnel into the tournaments on-line scheduling system no later than 21 days prior to start of event. The minimum required information is Name, Date of Birth, player ID number, Uniform number and gender. Revisions can be made to the roster up the night of team registration. This information will appear on the tournament game reports to be used by the referees for check-in on the field prior to each game. Teams failing to input this information are subject to removal from the event.

Sanctioning/Player Cards

FYSA AND USSF SANCTIONING

This tournament is sanctioned by FYSA and USSF. In order to participate, all players and coaches are required to have a current USSF/USYSA/FYSA or their Affiliates Player/Coach Pass Card. If you are not a member of any of these organizations please call (800) 4-SOCCER to obtain membership information.

SANCTIONING RULES FOR FYSA TEAMS

In order to participate in this tournament all FYSA teams must be in "Good Standing". Please submit for approval a copy of your official FYSA computer-generated roster.

SANCTIONING RULES FOR NON-FLORIDA TEAMS

In order to participate in this tournament all USYS and other USSF affiliates must be in "Good Standing" and obtain Permission to Travel* from their State/National Association. Please send a copy of your completed Approved/Certified Roster along with your Permission to Travel to our office at least 21 days prior to the event..

**Permission to Travel is not required from teams registered with US Club Soccer.

In order to participate in this tournament all teams from outside the United States must have written permission and verification from US Soccer and their country's Federation indicatng authorization to participate in the Disney Youth Tournament. Please send a copy of your completed Approved/Certified Roster, your Permission to Travel and Proof of Insurance to our office at least 30 days prior to the event. International teams (players and coaches) will be required to present passports at registration.

    • Disney Soccer events shall require all teams participating in the tournament to provide medical releases for each player in an appropriate form. Most organizations/clubs/leagues/teams have their own forms. These are acceptable for Disney Soccer events. These authorizations shall be reviewed by Disney Soccer at registration and kept in the possession of a team official.

      If your team does not have their own medical release form, the sample form below can be used for our tournament.

  • Credentials

    Credentials will be distributed at Registration. To receive credentials, each team must have already paid their Tournament Entry Fee and must present their completed Disney Sports Waiver forms. Minors (under age 18) must have a parent or legal guardian sign the Release and Indemnity section of the waiver. Coaches may pick up credentials for the entire team by providing the proper documents for verification. The credential specifies the areas of ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex participants can enter as well as the dates of validity. Once received, the credential must be visible to gain admittance. Credentials are non-transferable. If a credential is lost or stolen, it will be necessary to pay a replacement fee.

    All teams are required to stay in one of the official tournament hotels and must make their reservations through one of Disney's approved travel vendors. Please note: Failure to make your reservations through a Disney approved travel vendor can result in the non-acceptance of your team for the designated tournament.

    All teams, except as noted below, are subject to book lodging through the Disney designated travel provider as a condition to compete at the event.


    • Teams that are located within a 75 mile driving distance of the ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex are not requiblack to book.
    • Teams that are located within a 90 mile driving distance of the ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex and have a drive time of less than 90 minutes are not requiblack to book.
    • All teams over 90 miles are expected to book with the designated travel provider as a condition to compete - no exceptions
    • Addresses used for the determination of the distance/time will be the address of ESPN Wide World of Sports and the team's primary contact address.
    • Google Maps TM or other approved online mapping services will be used to determine driving distance and time.

    All of your participants appearing on the roster (coaches, athletes, staff, etc.) must sign an event waiver. Waivers may be downloaded at the links below, and all waivers must be presented at team check-in when you arrive for the event.

    If you are an international team competing in Disney Memorial Day Shootout , you must have written permission and verification from US Soccer and your Federation authorizing your team to play.

    Rosters & Eligibility


    MANDATORY: All teams must enter their rosters complete with bench personnel into the tournaments on-line scheduling system no later than 21 days prior to start of event. The minimum required information is Name, Date of Birth, player ID number, Uniform number and gender. Revisions can be made to the roster up the night of team registration. This information will appear on the tournament game reports to be used by the referees for check-in on the field prior to each game. Teams failing to input this information are subject to removal from the event.

    Guest Player Registration

    Are you a player whose team will not be attending, but would like the opportunity to guest play with one of our participating teams? Players interested in being an eligible guest player must register online at gotsoccer.com.

      Your information will be provided to coaches that are looking for guest players. Remember, in order to participate, all players and coaches are required to have a current USSF or their Affiliates Player/Coach Pass Card.

    IMPORTANT: Due to the different rules and regulations for guest players throughout the many USYS State Associations and other National Governing Bodies (NGB) it is the responsibility of the players and coaches involved to make sure all the required forms and documents are provided to the tournament. If in doubt contact the State Associations/NGB involved.

    COACHES:
    If you are interested in adding a guest player to your team please follow the steps outlined below to access and add available guest players. Remember, in order to participate, all players and coaches are required to have a current USSF or their Affiliates Player/Coach Pass Card.

    How to add a Guest Player to your roster:
    • Go to your Got Soccer team page
    • Click on Disney Memorial Day Soccer Shootout under Events Accepted
    • Click on the tab that says "Guest Player"
    • Select and contact the player from the list and add to your team
