Registration

Registration is now open for the 2019 Disney New Year's Baseball Classic.

Dates: December 28, 2019 – January 1, 2020
Age Divisions: 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 16U, 18U
Team Registration Fee:
Early Registration (May 1 – August 31, 2019):
8U: $500
9U–18U: $750

Final Registration (September 1 – November 1, 2019):
8U: $800
9U–18U: $1050

Travel Package: All participants listed on the team roster (players, coaches and ball boys/girls) must book their stay through Disney Sports Travel at (407) 939-7810. For complete details, view Travel Packages below.



Team Registration Includes:
  • Four games guaranteed on professionally maintained fields
  • Awards for top teams in each division
  • Athletic trainers in attendance
  • Two umpires per game
  • Public address announcer and scorekeeper for each game
  • Water fountain or cooler in each dugout
  • Game balls for each game
  • Disney Baseball trading pin (for players only)

Application & Refund Process
The Baseball Sales team will review all applications and notify your team of its status as soon as possible. Upon acceptance into the tournament, your team will receive an invoice for the entry fee, which must be paid in full to guarantee your spot. The entry fee is refundable until November 1, 2019 with written notification. If you have questions about the application process, please call (407) 938-3802.

Events may be subject to availability, capacity limits, eligibility requirements, and may be subject to delay, change or cancellation for inclement weather. Application deadline subject to change due to volume of applications and event capacity. In the event that an Age Division Bracket does not attain an adequate number of registered teams, the Tournament Director shall notify those registered teams as soon as possible. The teams will be given the option of playing up if available or receiving a refund.

Travel Packages

All event participants (coaches, players and ball boys/girls) are required to book a travel package through Disney Sports Travel to participate in the tournament.

The New Year’s Baseball Classic Package starts at $272.50 per person (based on quad occupancy) for a stay at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort or $408 per person (based on quad occupancy) at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and includes the following:
  • Five nights’ accommodations
  • One round of Walt Disney World Miniature Golf at Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course or Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Golf Course
  • Disney's Magical Express motor coach transportation between Orlando International Airport and your Disney Resort hotel
  • Transportation from your Disney Resort hotel to Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs

A Disney Sports Travel Coordinator will be able to assist you with ticket upgrades, additional room nights, vehicle rentals and airfare options. Best of all, specially priced packages are also available for all members of your travel party! Spectators purchasing the travel package can add the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex length-of-event ticket for the Baseball Classic to their package.

Call Disney Sports Travel at (407) 939-7810 or email us to book your travel packages. Your Disney Sports Travel Coordinator will see you through the booking process.

Submit initial rooming list (60 days before arrival) and confirm Disney’s Magical Express with Disney Sports Travel.

Make final payment
Submit final payment to Disney Sports Travel for your team’s travel packages 30 days prior to arrival.

Finalize roster and express check-in
Upload the team roster, birth certificates and completed waivers to GotSport by December 6, 2019. See On-site Event Check-In below for more information.

Attend on-site registration on December 27
Send a team representative to on-site check-in on Friday, December 27, to verify information and receive the team's credentials for entrance to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Please see On-site Check-In for more information

Admission

All coaches, athletes and spectators need admission to enter ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Athletes and coaches will receive a length-of-event admission credential at on-site registration.

Spectators may purchase daily or length-of-event admission tickets at the ESPN Wide World of Sports box office.

All ticket sales are nonrefundable and nonexchangeable. Tickets are subject to availability and capacity limits. Prices may change without notice.

On-Site Event Check-In

In order to expedite on-site check-in, teams are required to participate in advanced online check-in. Please submit your rosters, completed waivers and proof-of-age documents to your GotSport team account by December 6, 2019.

Required Documents

Waivers
Anyone appearing on the team roster, including athletes, coaches, bat boys/girls, team managers and scorekeepers, is required to sign an event waiver. Waivers may be downloaded through the links below, and all waivers must be uploaded into GotSport by December 6, 2019.


A maximum of 20 players, 4 non-players (coaches, scorekeepers and managers) and 2 bat boys/girls are allowed per team.

Proof-of-Age Documents
To maintain the integrity of the event, all participating players are required to submit proof-of-age documents (such as a birth certificate, passport or driver's license) confirming their age and eligibility. Documents must be uploaded to GotSport by December 6, 2019. Failure to meet any of these requirements will render a player ineligible to participate in the tournament. Any team found to be using an ineligible player will forfeit all Disney Baseball Tournament games in which the ineligible player has participated.

Roster
Complete and submit your tournament roster to GotSport, including participants’ first and last names, jersey number and date of birth. See Rules, Rosters and Eligibility for more details.

Rules

The rules for the Disney New Year’s Baseball Classic will be sent to coaches prior to the tournament. Copies of the rules will also be available in each dugout.


Roster

The official Disney Baseball roster must be filled out online with players’ names, uniform numbers and dates of birth. Please read the tournament rules to ensure your team's compliance. A maximum of 20 players, 4 non-players (coaches, scorekeepers and managers) and 2 batboys/girls are allowed per team. All of these participants must have completed waivers and must be included on your roster. You can submit your roster on your GotSport team registration page.

Host Hotels

All participants (athletes and coaches) are required to book a minimum 5-night stay in one of the tournament hotels and must make their reservations through Anthony Travel, the official Travel Provider for this tournament. Rooms are blocked at several hotels for all Disney New Year's Baseball Classic participants and spectators. Please note: Failure to make your reservations through Anthony Travel will result in the removal of your team for this tournament.

Guest Player Registration

Players
If you are not affiliated with a team in the tournament you can still apply to be a guest player on one of the participating teams.

Guest players are required to register online and purchase the minimum travel package through Disney Sports Travel.



Registering as a guest player does not guarantee you a spot in the Disney New Year's Baseball Classic.

To add a guest player to your roster:

  • Go to your GotSport team page
  • Under Events Registration History, find Disney New Year's Baseball Classic
  • Locate the Guest Player tab
  • Select a player from the list to add him to your team

The ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill is a quick-service restaurant located at the entrance of the facility. Menu items include burgers, sandwiches and salads along with desserts and beverages.

Pre-ordering Meals
Save time and reduce stress by ordering food in advance. You’ll enjoy fresh-prepared team meals that are quick, easy and well-balanced, along with beverages and/or snacks. Food can be delivered to a location of your choice at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.


Place your order at least 2 business days prior to the date of your dining event. Deliveries for Saturday, Sunday or Monday must be received by 3:00 PM on Friday, December 27.
