What types of personal items are not permitted inside ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex?

A Professional Photography and Recording Equipment

Professional photographers with professional cameras or recording equipment, who are visiting Walt Disney World Resort with the intent to take photographs or recordings of people, Walt Disney World Resort properties or icons for professional purposes must make prior arrangements with Walt Disney World Resort Media Relations.

Are we able to drop off our equipment ahead of time for events that we are registered for?

A For select events taking place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Diamondplex or MARATHON® Sports Fields at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, teams will be able to drop off equipment in the designated drop-off zone for loading onto an equipment pargo. Please follow the signs to the designated zones. One team representative must escort the equipment to the field. The equipment pargo is for transportation of equipment only.

Are there admission fees to enter ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex?

A For guests who are not athletes or coaches participating in an event, an admission fee is required for entrance into ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Effective January 2016, general ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex admission prices are as follows:

  • Adults (ages 10+): $18.50
  • Children (ages 3 - 9): $13.50

For many events, length-of-event admission tickets are available. See event-specific information for pricing. *Premium and Special Events may require additional charges. Pricing is subject to change without notice.

Am I able to view game day highlights? How can I share them with fans back home?

A One of the advantages of playing at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is our ability to leverage ESPN broadcast capabilities. Working with our on-site production facility, we try to capture all the action so you can relive the moments no matter where you are. For guests visiting the complex during the day, be sure to check our Digital Boards and Info Screens located throughout the facility. Event highlights are packaged together just as you might see them on Sports Center.
Q

Am I allowed to wear a costume at ESPN Wide World of Sports events?

A Disney reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests. All participants and their Guests may dress as their favorite character, but must follow these guidelines as determined solely by Disney.

  • Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent.
  • Guests who dress like Characters may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests.
  • Costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
  • Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
  • For ESPN Wide World of Sports participants ages 13 and under:
    • Costumes and some masks may be worn, as long the mask does not cover the entire face and eyes are visible.
  • For ESPN Wide World of Sports participants ages 14 and older:
    • Layered costumes, that could conceal prohibited items, are not permitted (e.g. Jedi robes).
    • Costume props, including those that surround the entire body (e.g. Death Star, UP House) are not permitted.
    • Costumes may not reach or drag on the ground. (e.g. full-length Princess dresses)
    • Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.
    • Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts, and hats are acceptable.
    • Acceptable accessories include: transparent wings, plastic light sabers, toy swords, and tutus. Headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face.
    • Guests may not wear masks of any kind.

Please note that while costumed attire may be worn during ESPN Wide World of Sports events, Guests 14 and older are not permitted to wear costumed attire in the theme parks. As a result, Guests may need to change their attire prior to visiting the parks after participating in ESPN Wide World of Sports events.

Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into, and/or removed from, an event/activity unless his or her costume can be modified to meet the above standards.

Am I allowed to bring flags to ESPN Wide World of Sports events?

A For the safety of all of the spectators and athletes, the following items will be prohibited from the ESPN Wide World of Sports.

  • Flags of any kind that are larger than 3' x 5' regardless of how flag is intended to be carried.
  • Flag poles cannot be longer than 4 feet or have a diameter of more than 4 inches.
    • Pole can be made of wood, plastic, and/or PVC. Poles made of metal are not allowed.
  • Only poles with rounded or flat ends are allowed.
    • No decorative or sharp ends will be allowed.

Are coolers allowed at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex?

A Yes, coolers are allowed at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, however all coolers must adhere to the Cooler Policy. Guests will not be permitted to carry coolers into ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex except as follows:

  • Guests may bring a single cooler for personal use.
  • Coaches may bring a single cooler for team use.
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex reserves the right to limit cooler number and size based on potential obstruction for other Guests and safety.
  • For safety concerns cooler use is restricted in indoor venues.
  • Coolers are not allowed at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex during certain separately ticketed events including but not limited to Atlanta Braves Spring Training and the AdvoCare Invitational.
  • Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not permitted.

What is the weather policy at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex?

A In the event of inclement weather including lightning, all competitions will be halted and all guests will be directed by public address announcements and Disney Cast Members to appropriate shelter areas. Please refer to tournament rules for information on specific policies for your event.

What seating options are available for guests?

A There are multiple seating options throughout the Complex. We currently offer both indoor and outdoor bleachers, picnic tables, as well as covered pavilions. Depending upon the location of your event, and also due to audience volume, folding/lawn chairs are permitted in the Complex at fields and facilities with the exception of Champion Stadium, HP Fieldhouse, VISA Athletic Center and the Grill.

Are tents allowed at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex?

A Yes, tents are allowed at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex but guests are required to adhere to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Tent Policy. The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Tent Policy allows for the use of tents on Complex grounds as long as the following stipulations are adhered to:

  • Only pop-up style tents are allowed, however no stakes, ropes or weights are permitted
  • The tent can be no larger than 10' x 10'
  • No tents can be left overnight (all tents must be removed at the end of each day)
  • Tents must come down during storms
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is not responsible for damage
  • We reserve the right to require tents to be taken down for visual obstruction, weather, or blocking of flow of traffic
  • The tent cannot display advertising or logos

Is there a smoking policy at ESPN Wide World of Sports?

A Smoking is permitted in clearly marked, specially selected areas only. Check complex guide maps for specific locations.

I've misplaced an item. Is there a Lost and Found I can visit?

A Like the rest of the Walt Disney World® Resort, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex takes special care to help locate your missing items. All found items are returned to, and remain at, the Information Booth. The Information Booth is located to the right of the ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill Patio, across from Champion Stadium

Highly valuable items such as wallets, purses, credit cards, prescription glasses, camera, and sporting equipment are held for 90 days. Items of lesser value such as sunglasses, toys, and t-shirts are held for 30 days.

Are there banking services available at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex? Where can I find the closest ATM?

A While ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex does not have an on-site banking facility, we do provide ATM services for guests needing to withdraw cash. There are currently 2 ATM locations available at the Complex. They can be located on the official ESPN Wide World of Sports guide map or by asking a Cast Member. The current ATM locations are:

  • Box Office ATM
  • Champion Stadium Entrance ATM

What forms of payment are accepted at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex?

A We accept a number of payments at both ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, as well as the Walt Disney World® Resort. These include cash (U.S. Currency), Traveler's Checks (U.S. Dollars) with valid photo ID, Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Diners Club).
